My story and why you need this course!

I was always 30 or 40 pounds heavier than I wanted to be. For about 25 years I went through cycles where I would lose weight only to put it all back on again and then some. I could never keep it off permanently.

Finally at the age of 45 I lost the weight and have been able to keep it off for the last 3 years.

So what was different this time? I figured out how to influence my own behavior by capitalizing on HABITS!

The key to behavior change is the ability to bundle a series of habits together and commit to them consistently over an extended period of time.

That was a huge paradigm shift after years of endless frustration and self-criticism.

Solving persistent problems permanently

We have been conditioned to think that big problems require big solutions. That thinking is 100% false. Big problems can be reduced to a pile of ash with simple solutions that appear very unsexy at first glance.

Take the story, “David and Goliath.” The fierce warrior Goliath was taken down with nothing other than a  stone and a sling. There is nothing sexy about that solution. But it was a small solution to a GIANT problem. Yes the pun was intended.

Willpower is often thought of as an elaborate web of complex solutions. It isn’t.

The chart on the right is the progress of a friend of mine who was at a crossroads: lose weight or buy fat guy pants. The 17 pound fat loss he achieved in two months was done by adopting 2 small behaviors that took about 10 minutes to do each day. I share his story in the book if you are curious to know what he did.

Habits are a funny thing.
